In Portuguese, “Perceber” means to understand while “ver” means to see. PERCE[V]ER workshop addresses the experience of seeing and understanding as a symbiotic process. The goal of this workshop is to create a graphical representation of the city of Braga based on our own in situ experience. The workshop begins with a theoretical background about reading and identifying key components of the city, then it proceeds by taking over the streets, testing different „tools“ like walkshops, mappings and performing public-space-exercises, the participants will be able to decode the city as in an immersive experience while receiving input from experts.
