Master of Old Building Renovation (MAi) - expiring

Application is no longer possible for this course!

About the study programme
The Master's degree programme in the restoration of old buildings is aimed at trained architects, engineers and natural scientists who have a first professional degree and wish to deepen their knowledge in the field of restoration of old buildings. This main area is only touched upon in the basic course of studies, therefore it requires separate specialisation, as the subject area is very large and complex. For this reason, two years of relevant professional experience is also of great importance as an entry requirement.

The extra-occupational postgraduate master's programme in the restoration of old buildings has a modular study structure, which is divided into 14 one-week attendance blocks with theoretical teaching.
During the distance learning periods, the study content and assignments are processed via a learning platform, which also serves to communicate and provide material. The modules correspond to the successive work steps in the practical handling of the old building.

Building investigation, condition assessment, maintenance and repair techniques, construction process planning, costing, construction, design in existing buildings.
