Joschka Kannen is an architect and urban planner and co-founder of acute, based in Freiburg Germany.

Changing realities continually require new strategies. In order to grasp these dynamics, acute operates with a sensitive perception of pressing challenges towards a resilient architecture and urban planning.

Joschka graduated in Architecture and Urbanism at the KIT, ENSA Strasbourg and EPF Lausanne and worked as a project manager with OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen (Brussels) and l‘AUC (Paris). He is currently teaching as an academic research assistance at the Chair for International Urban Planning and Design at KIT Karlsruhe.

Susanna Böcherer graduated in architecture and urbanism at Technical University Vienna and is now based in Freiburg. She is planning, writing, and researching architecture and urban planning in the context of social sciences and politics as part of CHCC-Kollektiv. The collective is based on the principle of a multidisciplinary approach in the development of the built environment and advocates the end of neoliberal urban planning. She currently holds a position as academic research assistant at the chair for International Urban Planning and Design at KIT.
