Liebe Studierende der KIT-Fakultät für Architektur, 

wir freuen uns, dass Sie sich für ein Auslandssemester interessieren. Die KIT-Fakultät für Architektur pflegt seit vielen Jahren enge Partnerschaften zu europäischen Hochschulen. Dort haben Sie die Möglichkeit ganz ohne Studiengebühren ein oder zwei Semester zu studieren. 

Des Weiteren hält das International Students Office des KIT viele weltweite Hochschulkooperationen für Sie bereit. Auch ein Praktikum im Ausland ist während und im Anschluss an Ihr Studium möglich. Schauen Sie sich einfach auf den nächsten Seiten um und suchen sich den passenden Weg in Ihr Auslandsabenteuer.

Green.Building.Solutions. (GBS) 

13th July - 1st August 2026 I 7 ECTS
GBS specializes on first-hand ecological knowledge and engineering expertise: The program deals with the ecological, economic, technical and social aspects of green building and construction. International participants deepen their knowledge in passive house planning, sustainable urban development, new energy technologies, innovative architecture and ecological design togehter with experts. A group design project aims to incorporate the gained knowledge. The program is open for students and professionals from fields related to the built environment, such as architecture, energy technology, urban plannig etc.

Alsace Summer School of Architecture and Crafts, from 6 July to 2 August 2026 (2 to 4 weeks)

Programme: visits, traditional construction, an introduction to Romanesque and Gothic architecture and to the work of Eugène Viollet-le-Duc, measured drawings, façade drawing, windows, doors and constructive details, geometry, the design of a School of Architecture and Craftsmanship project, and above all: numerous craft workshops (ceramics, stone carving, stone engraving, natural paint and plaster making, wattle and daub, lime slabs, half-timbered building restoration, etc.).

The Conques Summer School of Vernacular Architecture, from 26 August to 7 September 2026 (2 weeks of training)

A full visit of the Abbey Church of Sainte-Foy, measured drawings, vernacular construction, watercolour courses, the history of Romanesque and Neo-Romanesque architecture, optical drawing methods, history of craftsmanship in the region, an illumination workshop — not to mention walking excursions in the magnificent Occitan region!

A journey through Alsatian architecture, from 1 to 14 September 2026 (2 weeks of training)

From the village of Ammerschwihr to Strasbourg Cathedral, via Colmar, Ribeauvillé, Kaysersberg, Eguisheim and many others, up to the magnificent Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle, this itinerant school aims to be an introduction to the architecture, history and building traditions of this remarkable region.

Summer School Porto 2026

Porto Academy is an intensive international summer school that is organized annually since 2013.
Resumed program:
  • 8 Days (20-27 July 2026) Intensive workshop studios and lectures in Porto;
  • Confirmed guests: Andrea Faraguna, Atelier da Costa, Balissat Kacani, Baukunst, Bear, Didier Fiuza Faustino, Laura Cristea, Marc Leschelier, Nuno Melo Sousa, Takk;
  • Visit buildings by Távora, Siza, Souto de Moura, Rem Koolhaas and others

Erasmus Bewerbung für das WS 2026/27 und SS 2027

Bewerbung vom 01. Dezember 2026 - 15. Januar 2026 über Moblity Online. Bitte halten Sie folgenden Unterlagen für die Bewerbung bereit:

  • Angabe und Nachweis zu Sprachkenntnissen (Abiturzeugnisse, die nicht älter als drei Jahre sind werden für die fakultätsinterne Bewerbung akzeptiert!)
  • Nachweis der Studienleistungen 
  • Lebenslauf (tabellarisch, max. zwei Seiten)
  • Motivationsschreiben (einseitig, auf deutsch)
  • Portfolio mit mindestens drei Projekten / Zeichnungen (ca. 9 Seiten, max. 25 MB)
  • Bestätigung zur Teilnahme am Buddy-Programm (Ausdruck des ausgefüllten Anmeldeformulars)

Cabin Fever 2026 - International Summer School

Cabin Fever is an international summer school and festival organized by Hello Wood, set in the post-industrial landscape of Česká Kamenice. Over eight days, international architects will guide a group of students in designing and building a timber cabin from scratch, with a focus on hands-on learning, sustainability, and experimental design.
