Karlsruher Architekturvorträge

Skizzenwerk Habitat

“Without sharing - no sustainability”
The Copenhagen based practice defines their approach as “an architecture firm with opinions and attitude”. “We only design projects we believe in. But once the work is done, the architecture is not ours. It belongs to the community.”
The office, founded in 1970, tries to focus on people, building homes and cities that form our human activity. “At the risk of sounding extravagant” they reserve the right to think and believe that good architecture has the capacity to make society more liveable.
Jan Schipull-Kauschen started the office in 2013. After graduating at TU Darmstadt in 2004, and receiving a PhD at the Royal Danish Academy of fine Arts in 2014, he has been a Partner at the firm since 2020. His focus is efficient, simple and sustainable housing.
