"One is not realistic by not having an idea." (Max Frisch). Urban planning is an action-oriented and a designing discipline. It has to deal with uncertainties and still think different development options into the future, producing innovative and contextual ideas and delivering equally robust responses. This requires analytical skills, an understanding of place and its context, how urban and landscape systems work, and above all design skills at different scales. In addition to the training of these competences, it is important to me to awaken and promote the joy of discovering and designing the complex and exciting subject area of the "city".Philipp Krass
