We mourn the loss of Ute Hofmann

On August 21, 2025, our colleague Ute Hofmann passed away at the age of 59 after a very short, serious illness.
With her passing, we have lost a lovely person and a highly esteemed colleague who was admirably committed to our department.

As a member of the Dean's Office and the Examination Board since 2004, Ute Hofmann helped shape the development and atmosphere of the Department of Architecture.
With great patience, openness and empathy, she has accompanied and supported many young people through their studies.
She was a personality who faced all of life's ups and downs with sporting vigor, joy and humor.

Her sudden death shocks us and leaves a huge gap.
We are grateful for the time we spent together and will honor her memory.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to her family.
