For more than ten years, Mr. Zöller has lectured as a lecturer in the course "Expert Detailed Planning" - first within the subject area of building materials and products, then additionally in the postgraduate master's course in the restoration of old buildings (both at the Institute of Design and Construction Technology). In his courses, students learn the practical application of basic rules and principles for the prevention of structural damage. After an introduction to the activities of architects from the point of view of a structural damage expert, the following topics are covered: Waterproofing and moisture protection of building components in contact with the ground, drainage systems, flat and pitched roofs, balconies and terraces, driving rain protection, facing brickwork, plaster and composite thermal insulation systems, mould, algae on facades, screeds and floor coverings in new and old buildings.

Mr. Zöller enjoys high recognition in the professional world as a publicly appointed and sworn expert for damage to buildings. At AIBau he is project manager of the research, which deals with the analysis of building damages, but also of serviceable constructions with the aim of building practical trade recommendations. Furthermore, Mr. Zöller trains prospective building damage experts. He is co-editor of the journal IBR Immobilien- & Baurecht as well as of the Baurechtlichen und -technischen Themensammlung published by Bundesanzeiger Verlag and IRB Fraunhofer Verlag.
