Sebastian Multerer graduated in architecture from the Technical University of Munich. For his diploma thesis he was awarded the Hans-Döllgast-Prize and the Johannes-B.-Ortner-Prize. In the first years after his studies he worked as an employee and project manager for Wolfgang Brune Architekten as well as nbundm* Architekten. At the same time, Sebastian Multerer began an assistant position at the Department of Architecture at the Technical University of Munich with Prof. Ueli Zbinden in 2007, followed by a research position with Prof. Dietrich Fink in 2010. There he was active in teaching for eight years and also dealt with architectural theoretical topics. This research resulted in the monograph "Otho Orlando Kurz" together with Julian Wagner, which was published in 2018. Since then, he has been a guest critic and lecturer at several architecture faculties.

From 2010 to 2016, Sebastian Multerer had an office partnership with Florian Fischer. In 2016, he was a fellow of the German Academy Rome at Casa Baldi as well as the Dr. Marschall Foundation. The focus of his work is the transformation of existing buildings and the resulting, continuously expanding issues of our time.
