RoofKIT on KIT Campus South

Public tour of the building prototype
RoofKIT am KIT-Campus SüdBernd Seeland

RoofKIT was one of 18 entries to the Solar Decathlon Europe 21-22, in which student teams from international colleges and universities each constructed a fully functional building prototype in Wuppertal in the summer of 2022, with which they competed in ten different architectural and construction disciplines.

With the RoofKIT project, the team from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology won the Solar Decathlon Europe 21-22. In two and a half years of intensive interdisciplinary teamwork in teaching, research and practice, students and teachers addressed the issues of sustainable resource consumption, renewable energy generation and coexistence in the city of the future from an architectural perspective.

The building prototype now stands on KIT Campus South - we cordially invite you to register for a public RoofKIT tour.

When?
The tours take place on Fridays at 2:30 pm and at 3 pm. We would like to ask you to register first for the guided tour at 2:30 pm. Only if this is fully booked, you should register for the guided tour at 3 pm.
