The Architecture Days 2025

The KIT Faculty of Architecture is participating in this year's Architecture Days with several events.

Under the motto "Living and housing on the Upper Rhine: 2000-2025-2050" the Architecture Days are celebrating their 25th anniversary this fall. The focus is on key questions for the future: How has life and living in the Upper Rhine region changed - and how can we make it sustainable? What does responsible building mean in the face of the climate crisis, social change and scarcity of resources? What impetus is the younger generation bringing to building culture?

From October 1 to 26, a diverse program invites you to a cross-border dialogue on architecture, landscape architecture and urban development in Germany, France and Switzerland.

Since 2008, the Paris-based office has been combining architecture and landscape in a unique way and integrating the living into urban spaces. The multi-award-winning office realizes projects in France and internationally and was awarded the Équerre d'Argent 2022 for the new AP-HP headquarters in Paris, among other things.

ChartierDalix has been researching the integration of nature into the built environment for over ten years - documented in the book Accueillir le vivant - and is taking these approaches further with the SERP experimental office founded in 2024.

The lecture will be simultaneously translated into German and French.
