KIT Faculty of Architecture Mourns the Death of Professor Dipl.-Ing. Arno Lederer

Professor Arno Lederer headed the Chair of Building Construction and Design I with great effect from 1990 to 1997 and the Chair of Building Theory at the Department of Architecture of the University of Karlsruhe (TH) from 1997 to 2005.

With Professor Arno Lederer, we are not only losing a renowned architect who has realized numerous groundbreaking buildings, but also a committed and popular university lecturer for whom teaching and the advancement of students was always a special concern.

During his time at the faculty, he consistently pursued the communication of his architectural stance and the debate on architectural issues of the day. In doing so, he found a broad echo that reached far beyond the boundaries of his discipline.

KIT mourns the loss of a personality who was formative and outstanding in teaching and research and an extremely recognized university professor.
Our sympathy goes to his family. We will always honor his memory.
