Des Weiteren wird es um die formalen Zugangsvoraussetzungen zum Studium, den Bewerbungsprozess insgesamt sowie die neue praxisbezogene Aufgabe, Sprachkenntnisse und das hochschuleigene Auswahlverfahren gehen. Wir nehmen außerdem die Besonderheiten des Studiengangs am KIT im Vergleich zu anderen Hochschul(art)en in den Blick und du lernst mögliche weitere Kriterien für deine persönliche Studienentscheidung kennen. Ein aktives Mitwirken deinerseits durch Fragen, Fragen, Fragen ist ausdrücklich erwünscht!   Die Veranstaltung findet in deutscher Sprache statt. Eine Anmeldung ist nur bis 10.10.2025 um 12.00 Uhr möglich.   Hinweis: Die Veranstaltung findet über zoom statt. Zeitnah vor Veranstaltungsbeginn wird der Link zum Meetingraum per Email an die bei der Anmeldung benutzten Emailadresse verschickt. This event takes place as part of the KIT Science Week.   On 30.09.2025 (14 - 14.30) there will be a short online meeting with all registered students - the actual event is on 14.10.2025 from 10-17.00. ECTS credits will only be credited in the winter semester 2025/26! You will receive more information on this at the online appointment on 30.09.25   FUTURE WALK A history of tomorrow The cooperating global society on planet Earth has turned the corner - global warming is limited to 1.65°C! The implementation of Agenda2030 has worked, poverty, hunger, social inequalities and injustices are a thing of the past. Biodiversity is regenerating in diverse urban ecosystems and new species are exploring liveable cities, clean air, fresh water and nourishing soils. Children are playing in the streets, geographical boundaries are giving way to cultural circles, diversity is colorful and neighborhood and solidarity are consumed. The anthropogenic impact and the ecological footprint of humans is grandchild-friendly and “Earth Overshot Day” is celebrated peacefully worldwide on December 31. Learning future skills, vision and transformation competence has created the future and empowered a new generation of people to work towards shaping a sustainable co-, environment and afterworld. Would you like to know more about this world? Become a part of it, be creative and help shape it yourself? Then come to the Zukunftsraum (Quartier Zukunft, Rintheimer Straße 46, 76131 Karlsruhe) on October 14, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. for a thought journey. From there, we will move through the city and end our journey at the Triangel on Kronenplatz. The interactive work phase, discussion and reflection will then take place there. This event takes place as part of the KIT Science Week 2025.   What does a real-world lab do? Whether it's the climate crisis, miles of traffic jams in our inner cities, or the isolation of people – we face major challenges for our future. In our real-world lab, we conduct research together with citizens to find out what a good life for everyone can look like today and in the future, and how we can achieve it. For example, we install solar panels on private balconies, rent out cargo bikes, and sometimes even transform parking spaces into open-air living rooms. We invite you to our real-world laboratory "Quartier Zukunft – Labor Stadt" and provide insights into our work. - Free of charge. No registration required.

This event takes place as part of the KIT Science Week 2025.   A somewhat different walk through Karlsruhe invites you to experience the city with all your senses, to pause and explore inner and outer spaces of tranquility. How do I move through the city, how do I perceive this space? How can I create spaces of calm both inside and out? Drawing on Karlsruhe's founding myth, we want to explore aspects of mindfulness and deceleration together for a livable city of the future. Our own experiences and the shared exchange about them are intended to open up personal creative scope and provide suggestions for urban design. The walk is in German language. This event takes place as part of the KIT Science Week 2025.   The workshop provides current insights into climate research and underscores the need for a transformation toward a climate-friendly society. The concept of the handprint will be introduced as a central element. Its goal is to permanently embed climate protection structurally through targeted engagement, making sustainable living easier for everyone. With the help of an action poster, participants will work in groups to develop their own approaches to engagement: an invitation to take an active role in advancing climate protection in Karlsruhe and beyond.
